  Remember With Us
She loved to laugh. She was a practical joker. She even wrote comic essays and shared them with our family.

Help us remember Michelle. Click on "comments" below and share your favorite funny story about Michelle.

I'm not sure this is a favorite funny story... I have lots of stories, but I'm not sure I could pick a favorite. But one of the memories that comes back pretty quickly is Michelle attempting to have a British accent. Granted, Rae and I probably started the trend... We would often, quite unsuccessfully, try to speak with British accents. While it was something Rachel and I started, I can remember times where Michelle and I would have full conversations in an accent. We could barely make it through as we would laugh quite a bit at our lack of skill... But that was a fond memory... Then there was the attempt at swing dancing... That's a whole other story...

Tory, Your comment made me think of how Michelle had an entire segment of the Monty Python's Holy Grail Movie memorized. She could perform it on queue since she was seven years old. It always ended with "I feel like a walk..."

i feel the same way- it's hard to pick one memory. one of my all time favorites was on mr. witmer's bday when michelle dressed up in the gorilla costume at the restaurant. the whole experience was hilarious, but especially when we were trying to get the costume on her without falling on the floor laughing. later that night we rode around in my convertible with tim dressed as the gorilla and went to pick n save where tim repeatedly asked the clerks where the bananas were. that was a good time, but of course there were coutless more...

Hi Witmer family! My name is Christy (Witmer) Sutton and I just wanted to say I remember the new stories of Michelle. I think I related somewhat because of my maiden name. She seemed like a very nice girl who knew what she wanted and worked to make it happen. Keep talking about her and keep posting memories. It's refreshing to see a family make sure she is not forgotten.

you don't know me..i live all the way in england but i have never fogotten michelle witmer's death because my dad died soon after in a car crash. i'm very pleased that michelle's siblings has found happyness again after her death and that you have finished your book. i am now trying to buy your book which is proving hard because none of the book stores over here sell it and i don't like using my credit card on the internet but i will buy it somehow..best wishes for the future to all of you....maggie
